Carlo has been mad about photography since his childhood, when his father gave him his first camera: a Pentax K1000.When he finished studying, he did various courses of professional photography where he learned the necessary skills to improve and refine his technique.
Carlo Portone established himself at Sant'Oreste, a small town at the foot of Mount Soratte in the north of the province of Rome, this has been a source of inspiration and the ideal environment for taking photos.
From 1993 he has regularly displayed his photos here in the months of May and October.
He prefers photos of surreal portraits and panoramas, which travel in the viewer's mind, taking them to imaginary worlds, which he portrays in an original and personal reelaboration of reality.
